It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth "Liz" Barkfelt, who left us on June 15, 2025. Born on December 28, 1955, Elizabeth lived a full and meaningful life marked by kindness, love, and an admirable tenacity that shaped those around her.

Elizabeth is survived by her devoted husband, Marvin Barkfelt, whom she married in the blissful summer of 1973. Their loving union blossomed into a beautiful family, including their sons Eddie (Rebecca) Barkfelt, Gary Barkfelt, and David Holm. Elizabeth was immensely proud of her three granddaughters-Sarah, Devan, and Gabby-whom she cherished deeply and held dear in her heart.

She was a beloved sister to Susan (Allen) Fairley, Becky (Tony) Galle, and Brenda (Jon) French. Elizabeth was also a treasured aunt, cousin, and friend to many who loved spending time with her-whether gathered at family events or simply enjoying a heartfelt conversation in her kitchen. Her joyous spirit lives on in the memories of all who knew her.

Elizabeth now joins her late parents, Eugene and Wanda Faulk, and her late sisters, Gail, Donna, and Linda. Though she leaves behind an irreplaceable void, her shimmering legacy of love and strength endures.

Animated and radiant, Elizabeth was characterized by her bubbly personality that infected everyone around her. She was both kind-hearted and strong-willed-a rare combination that defined her character. One of her greatest joys was spending time in the kitchen, where she poured love into every meal and surrounded herself with the warmth of her family.

Family was the cornerstone of Elizabeth's life. Her greatest accomplishments were her sons, in whom she took immeasurable pride. She found profound joy in nurturing and watching them grow. Her legacy continues through them and her grandchildren, her love forever etched in their hearts.

As we mourn Elizabeth's passing, we find comfort in knowing that her enduring spirit and remarkable love will remain with us always. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
