She was born November 22,1921 in Fairbank, Iowa, daughter of Ella and Robert Hayes. Elizabeth graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1940 in Oelwein Iowa.
Elizabeth married Elmer McLeish 1941, at Sacred Heart Church Oelwein Iowa. Elizabeth and Elmer were owners of Farmers Produce in Oelwein for 27 years. Elizabeth also worked at Miller Wohl Clothing Store for 14 years.
Elizabeth and Elmer retired and moved to Loveland, Colorado in 1979. She loved her home in Colorado.
She is survived by 2 Sons James (Emmy) McLeish, Arizona, Kevin McLeish & Lorraine Loveland, Colorado. Two daughters, Janie Kennedy, Oelwein Iowa, Judy (Jerry) Morey Hazelton Iowa. Eleven grandchildren, Twenty-one great grandchildren, Eleven Great Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer McLeish, daughter Clarine McLeish and son Thomas McLeish. Parents Ella and Robert Hayes. Five brothers and 2 sisters.
Memorial Mass Tuesday July 22, 2025, 10:00am at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Parish.

I'm sorry to hear of her death, but I know she is in Heaven. She was so kind to us when we were children and visited Iowa.

I knew Beth from our hometown of Oelwein, IA. when I was a teen and she worked at Miller-Wohl. I was so happy when I connected with her again when I moved to Loveland. She was a gem and will be missed.
