She was born November 19, 1931 in Wheaton, Missouri the daughter of Curtis and Frona (Dopp) Price. On March 3, 1950 in Wheaton, Missouri she was united in marriage to Bobby Ray Lauderdale, who preceded her in death on December 23, 2008. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a granddaughter, Bobbie Sue Joeckel.
Surviving are her son, Larry Lauderdale and his wife Judy of Ransom Canyon, Texas; daughters, Patty Daugherty of Nixa, Missouri and Jana Sue Joeckel of Exeter, Missouri; brother, James Price and his wife Sue of Florida; sister-in-law, Colleen Grovesner of Jamestown, Missouri; grandchildren, Tricia West and her husband Gary, Lee Lauderdale and his wife Mitzi, Tracy Gifford and her husband Scott, Scotty Lauderdale and his wife Sara, Amanda Mattingly and her husband Jon and Curtis Joeckel and his wife Lindsey; 15 great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Ella Dean grew up and attended school in Wheaton, Missouri graduating from Wheaton High School. She was a lifelong resident of Barry County. Ella Dean was employed by Litho Printers in Cassville, Missouri in advertising and publication for several years. Some of her favorite pastimes were sewing, making ceramics, going golfing, camping, and making cross country trips on a motorcycle. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and worked at the United Methodist Church Food Pantry in Cassville. Ella Dean will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 25, 2025 at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Missouri under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jeff Fugitt will conduct the services.
Contributions may be made to United Methodist Church Food Pantry in memory of Ella Dean.
