Mary Ellen Magee Rhyne, age 69, a resident of Sikeston, died Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born December 31, 1955, at Wyatt, MO, to the late Harell Nelson Magee, Sr. and Mary Alice Welch Magee, she had lived in Sikeston most of her life and was a member of the Temple of Faith General Baptist Church. Ellen was no stranger to hard work all her life working at various places such as The Crème Castle, Oran Hat Factory, Gold Bond and the Walmart in Sikeston from where she retired after 15 years of service.

On June 25, 1973, she married Allan Ray Rhyne, Sr., who survives of the home.

Also surviving is her son, Allan Ray (A.J.) Rhyne, Jr., and his wife Cassandra of Sikeston; her grandchildren, Gavin Allan Rhyne, Taylor Christene Rhyne, Allison Mae Thomas and Alexis Rae Thomas; her brother, Mike and her sisters, Marilyn and Brenda; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harell Nelson Magee, Jr. and David Wayne Magee and her sisters, Debbie Lynn Harris and Patricia Ann Casey.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Temple of Faith General Baptist Church, 309 Smith Ave., Sikeston, MO. Her husband, Allan Ray Rhyne, Sr., will officiate.

McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
