Mrs. Townsend was born in Butler, Georgia on March 1, 1952, to the late Jack and Sybil Barrow Harris. She is retired from Yamaha Manufacturing and a longtime supporter of Al Sinah Shiners in Macon Ga. She loved to watch the GA Bulldogs and spend time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Ricky and Lelious Harris.
Survivors include husband of 55 years Aldine Townsend, son Sean (Stacy) Townsend, daughter Penny Townsend, grandchildren Jessica (Josh) Smith, Hailey Daniels, Noah (Grayce) Townsend, Addy Townsend and Cooper Townsend, sister Patricia (Amos) Snyder.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 1, 2024, from 2:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. at Coggin Funeral Home.

My heart breaks to hear this. I have not seen Ellen in a while but did not realize that she was sick. We always had so much fun working together at Lanier. She was a Bright and shining star and such a fun person to be around. Prayers for you all as I knoe she will be missed dearly.
