Peacefully, on Friday, October 24, 2025, at McNally House hospice in Grimsby, Ontario, with her loving husband of 35 years by her side. Cherished wife of Tony (Anthony) Mancini; loving sister to Joanna Wilson (Bob Belfoy) and Norman Wilson (Patricia Tully); and aunt to Mark and Andrew Wilson. Predeceased by her parents, Angus Mackay Wilson and Alice Elizabeth Wilson (nee Slinger). Cairine was an overachiever her entire life. Inspired and influenced by her namesake grandmother, Senator Cairine R. Wilson, she was well into her first degree at the University of Guelph before most of her classmates were out of high school. After a stint at Statistics Canada, she obtained her Master of Library Science degree at McGill University and became librarian at the Royal Military College in Kingston. Finally in 1980, she obtained her third degree, an MBA in marketing at Queens University in Kingston. Over the years following, she held management positions at many major companies and organizations including Mattel, Gilbeys, Rubbermaid Canada, CAA, The Financial Post, and EDS Canada. In the final 20 years of her career, she was Vice President, Corporate Citizenship at the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada where she was publisher of CPA Magazine and led national financial literacy initiatives for the organization, retiring in 2017. In retirement, Cairine continued her unstoppable work. Volunteering and serving on many non-profit boards, she continued to quietly lend her skills to advance the objectives of many organizations including Hamilton Third Age Learning, the Incite Foundation, and Age Friendly Advisory Committees in Grimsby and Niagara. Cairine was a voracious reader and fondly enjoyed her time with friends at book clubs in Hamilton and Grimsby. In later years she developed a love of flower arranging, including the art of Ikebana, which she studied at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Hamilton. Flowers became a big part of her everyday life; appropriately, their beauty graced her home until her final days. Cairine was always caring, gentle, yet strong, warm yet inspiring, and filled with quiet wisdom. Her beautiful, radiant smile and sparkling eyes brought joy to the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply loved and profoundly missed by all. A private family service will be held in Ottawa, with interment to follow at the Wilson family grave at Dale's Cemetery in Cumberland, Ontario. In remembrance of Cairine's life, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the McNally House Hospice in Grimsby, Ontario. Condolences/Tributes/Donations, Hulse, Playfair & McGarry,
