Ellis Richard Pratt, 69, of Johnston City, Illinois, hugged the Lord during the early hours of July 14th, 2025. Rick was born on June 1st, 1956 to the late Margaret (Courtney) Pratt and Garland Pratt in Sterling, Colorado.
Rick was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend with a generous spirit; Always available with a helping hand. He was known for having many nicknames for his loved ones, especially his "Pumpkin", "Poochie" and "Amby." He had many in return which embodied his personality. Most notably, "Rock Block" and "Tricky Ricky".
He spent his time working on the railroad as a train conductor and later became an over the road truck driver. In his later years, he left work becoming a full time dog dad to his beloved Commando and Flower and later to Baby and "Stinky Rinky." From his early years to the wise ones, Rick never stopped tinkering with anything he could get his hands on and watched more westerns than anyone could imagine.
Rick is preceded in death by his mother, father, sister Leslie "Cookie" Schuler and son, Ryan Pratt. He is survived by daughters Janna Garton (Craig) and Ambra Pratt, sons Dakota Pratt and Austin Pratt (Logan) and grandchildren Layah, Gralyn, Oliver, and Emma as well as many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

As young children, Ricky and I spent time together visiting each other's house. We lost contact with each other sometime after high-school. He was in my thoughts and prayers frequently. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family. May God give you all peace in your time of mourning.
