Elwood Anderson Obituary

Elwood "Shotgun" Anderson, age 86 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at his home. Elwood was born in the spring of 1939 at the family home in the Mud Camp Community of Cumberland County, KY to the late Ira Nile and Jewell Ann Anderson. He was a member of the Church of Christ, was a former construction superintendent with Venture Contracting and Lennar Homes and was a U. S. Army veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Shirley Willis Anderson.

One Daughter- Michelle Dawn Meadows and husband Jeff of Burkesville, KY
One Son- Terry Hamilton Anderson and wife Emily of Glasgow, KY
One Brother- Duane Anderson and wife Brenda of Marrowbone, KY
One Grandson- Thomas Ira Anderson of Glasgow, KY
One Niece- Sabra Anderson Garmon and husband Dougie of Campbellsville, KY
Great Niece- Lara Paige Garmon of Campbellsville, KY
and a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
Funeral Service:
Monday, May 12, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with cremation to follow the service. Family requests visitation on Monday, May 12th from 10 A.M. until service time at 2 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to WE CARE, P.O.
