Emily Marie (Congreve) Ludwig, age 40, of Cannon Falls, MN, courageously passed away at her home on October 2, 2025. Emily was born April 24, 1985, in Fairfield, CA and graduated from Kenyon-Wanamingo High School in 2003. She met Tim Ludwig in 2006, and they were married on September 28, 2013, in Lynchburg, TN.
Emily found solace in nature - she loved fishing, always battled to be the family walleye slayer, could identify almost any Minnesota bird, loved camping with her dogs, Rocco and Louie, could grow some crazy hot peppers and an abundance of tomatoes, planned all her road trips around disc golf courses, and she always anticipated Shark Week. Emily was a wizard in the kitchen - never following a recipe. She was almost always wearing a tie-dyed t-shirt to match her bright, infectious smile. She loved to spoil her niece and nephews with random gifts, unforgettable activities, family vacations, and hysterical game nights. Those times will forever be treasured.
Emily was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Ruth Robertson and her grandfather, Brian Congreve. Emily is survived by her husband, Tim, father, Brian Congreve, parents-in-law, Rick and Carol Ludwig, grandmother, Norma Congreve, aunts, Jean Congreve and Jacalyn Congreve Bailey (Randy) and their children, Lucky, Madeleine, and Annie Jewel Bailey, sisters-in-law, Brenda (Brandon) Regenscheid and Michelle Ludwig (DJ Otto), her nephews and niece, Ryan, William, and Lucas Regenscheid and Katherine and Carter Stay and cousins, Jeff (Maryann) Hasselbring and Jack (Ellen) Hasselbring and their families. Emily is also survived by a countless number of friends that she considered family, especially her “mom”, Brenda Cornell.
As per Emily's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
