CAHABA MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL: Announce with deepest sympathy the passing of Mrs.Emmer Woods on April 28, 2025.

EMMER'S LIFE STORY: Emmer Lee Woods was born on February 17, 1925 to Ellen Jones and Henry Eatmon in Belle Ellen, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Vicks Baptist Church in Centreville, Alabama under the leadership of Rev. Moses Lockett. She later joined Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend W. B. Burns. And later she joined Present-Truth Tabernacle Church, Centreville, Alabama under the leadership of Rev. Calvin J. Meadows. On April 28, 2025, Emmer Lee Woods peacefully ascended her life unto Christ at her home in Centreville, Alabama. Emmer was preceded in death by her husband, John "Sonny Woods"; daughters, Glenda Lampkin and Dorothy Hurst; one sister, Bessie Dobbins; five brothers, Will Morgan, Jr., Roosevelt Morgan, Joe E. Morgan, Elbert Eatmon and John Henry Eatmon. Emmer leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Marva Baxter, Cleveland, Ohio, Phyllis Stevens, Prattville, Alabama and Sherri Cash, Centreville, Alabama; two sons, Alvin L. Rice (Joyce), West Blocton, Alabama and James Rice (Lois), Tuscaloosa, Alabama; one son-in-law, John Lee Hurst; one sister-in-law, Annie Rutledge; three generations of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, May 8th, 2025, 11:00 AM New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church Brent, Alabama Rev. James Earl Hayes, Officiating

INTERMENT: Cooper Cemetery Centreville, AL 35042
