Eric Edwin Bell, 57 of Waukee, passed away on July 6, 2025. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 10, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Knoxville, Iowa. The service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be made out to Eric's children, Landen and Harper.
Eric Edwin Bell was born on February 19, 1968, in Muscatine, Iowa to Lynn Edwin and Judith Ann (Leu) Bell. His younger brother Andrew joined the family in 1972.
Spending most of his youth in Lone Tree and Muscatine, Iowa, eventually moving to Iowa City, where he finished out his high school career.
He moved to the Quad Cities for a short time but returned to Iowa City in 2001. He met Amanda in October 2002. They were married four years later. To this union, they had two beautiful children, Landen Wright in 2007 and Harper Grace in 2011. Despite divorcing in 2023 they remained close.
In 2007, Eric joined US Cellular as a general Cellular Service Associate and transitioned through many roles within the organization. All while achieving his bachelor's degree in business/management while specializing in IT from Purdue Global in 2018. Eric stayed with US Cellular until his passing, ending his career as the senior consumer solutions and technology manager.
Eric had a passion for cars and music, which was passed on to his son. He also passed his love of coffee and energy drinks on to his daughter.
In Eric's last moments, he was surrounded by his children, Landen and Harper and their mother, Amanda.
Eric is survived by Amanda Fielding; his children, Landen and Harper; mother, Judith (Pat) Paré; brother, Andrew (Jozie) Bell; nieces and nephews: Ariana, Aj and Ciara; and uncle Jon (Tammy) Leu.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lynn Bell, Robert and Mary Leu, Ralph and Mildred Bell, aunt JoAnne Gallagher, uncle Neil Bell and aunt Cay Wieland.
