Mr. Earnest Robert Louis Dilworth, Jr. of 1211 Claiborne Street Danville, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his residence.
Born June 25, 1957, in Germany, he was a son of the late Earnest Robert Louis Dilworth, Sr. and Mary Walker Dilworth.
Earnest retired from the United States Navy and attended First Baptist Church of Mebane, NC. He was also a 2008 graduate of Danville Community College, served as a volunteer with Martinsville Fire Department and was a talented artist. He was married to Patricia Ann Horner Dilworth, who survives.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons; one sister, Jacqueline Jones (Bernard); two brothers, Glen Dilworth (Teresa) and Robert Dilworth (Shajuanna); one granddaughter; two step-sons, Willard Horner and wife, Tammy and Maurice Horner; four step-grandchildren, Reba Horner, Brittney Horner, James Horner and Christopher Horner; a niece Velencia Jones ; two nephews Bernard Jones, II and Glenn Dilworth; great nephews, Tyler Graves, Miles Jones and Jalyn Jones; great -great nephews Tayden Graves and Lotus Graves and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Professional funeral services have been entrusted to the staff of the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main St. Danville, Va., Bishop Jeffrey L. Dodson, Sr.,
