Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025, in Electra Memorial Park with Jon Curry, Pastor of Grace Community Church in Archer City, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
The guest register will be available to sign from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra, with the family receiving guests from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Wayne was born April 1, 1938 in Vernon, Texas to the late Edward Alec Tennell and Alice Lucille Hallmark Tennell.
He married Theda Lucille Goodwin on June 20, 1959 in Vernon, Texas.
Throughout his life, Wayne worked in the oilfield. He loved this work. Wayne also enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife of nearly sixty-six years, Theda Lucille Tennell of Electra; two sons, Terry Tennell and wife, Debbie of New Braunfels and Tony Tennell and wife, Denette of Wichita Falls; and two grandsons, Wesley Metting and wife, Cindy of New Braunfels and Tyler Christian Lewis Tennell of San Angelo.
Wayne was also preceded in death by two sisters, Euna Germany and Doris Spurlock; and two brothers, Alton Tennell and Jerry Tennell.
