ODESSA, TEXAS - Eula Annette Hammett, known to her family and friends as Annette, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, at the age of 88 in Odessa, Texas. Born on September 16, 1936, to Era and Haskell Hicks in Mills County, Texas, Annette lived a life full of love, creativity, and faith.

Annette spent much of her professional life in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and Odessa, Texas. She was a deeply religious woman who cherished her personal relationship with Jesus and found great joy in prayer. Her artistic talents shone through her passions for drawing, painting, and interior design. As a professional florist, Annette's exceptional skills earned her numerous awards, including a prestigious recognition by the Texas State Florists' Association in 1973, where she won the Design School of Texas competition in San Antonio.

Annette is preceded in death by her parents, Era and Haskell Hicks, and her brothers, Gayle Hicks (and his wife, Lois) and Charles Hicks. She is survived by her brother, Walter Hicks (and his wife, Freda), and by Charles' wife, LaQuita. Also surviving are her three children: Terry Hammett (and his wife, Tammie), Richard Hammett (and his wife, Pam), and Kimbra Weiershausen (and her husband, Don). Annette's legacy continues through her seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
