Our dear loving Christian wife and mother Eula Patricia Herron was born on June 13th, 1936 to her parents James Frederick and Beulah P. Lucas in Green Cove Springs, Florida.
On July 3rd, 2025 she closed her eyes here in her beautiful mountain home in Maggie Valley, North Carolina surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren, and woke up in Heaven to see Jesus with a brand-new heart with no more pain or Parkinson’s disease.
She loved her devoted husband, Ralph, of 74 years and her 5 precious children, Ray, Sheri (Greg), Becky (Randy), Joel (in Heaven), and Jesse (Linda).
She loved her 14 precious grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, and one on the way. She was a great prayer warrior for us all.
She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and led many souls to Him.
She loved and memorized God’s Word. One of her favorite verses was III John 4: “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”
She loved her church, Pastors, church family, and many dear friends.
She loved to play the piano and for her husband to sing; “How Great Thou Art,” and “Win the Lost at Any Cost.”
She loved God’s creation, especially roses, dahlias, all flowers, birds, bears, and elk.
She loved her country, was patriotic and worked in campaigns, serving in both Rotary and Chamber of Commerce.
She loved to teach children and taught them many Bible verses, stories, and songs.
She loved cooking, baking, and canning apple butter, blackberry jam, etc. for her dear husband, family, and friends. She had a servant’s heart and was given to hospitality and set a beautiful table.
We look forward to seeing her again in Heaven where… “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
