Eva C. Collister, age 77 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 8, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at the Houston County Community Hospital.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Schmidt Family Cemetery with Bro. Tay Joslin officiating.

Eva was born November 4, 1947 in Stewart County, TN, daughter to the late Joseph Granville (Joe Dick) Schmidt and the late Geneva Anderson Schmidt. In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her four children’s father, Ellis (Pete) Milam; husband, Walter Carl Collister; siblings, John Thomas “Rip” Schmidt, William Cleo “Runt” Schmidt, Billy Joe “Bill” Schmidt, and sister, Sara Rita Schmidt Hankins.

Survivors include her loving daughters, Sherri (George) Dennis of Stewart, TN, Tina Kay (John) Wiley of Kingston Springs, TN, Michele (Corey) Madden of Dickson, TN, Bridgette (Eric) Victory of Oswego, NY; siblings, Kenneth Raye Schmidt, Troy Anthony (Jackie) Schmidt, Barbara Lou (Joey) Bucciarelli. Eva also leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Seth (Shelby) Dennis, Braxton Milam, Laiken Wiley, Macy (Marty) Harris, Adam Beard, Dalton Madden, McClay White, Dylan Madden; great-grandchildren, McKenley Milam, Finley Miller, Ellie Dennis, Wyatt Harris, Fender Miller, and Warren Harris; along with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Seth Dennis, Dalton Madden, Dylan Madden, Adam Beard, David Schmidt, Danny Schmidt, Kevin Schmidt, and Corey Bucciarelli.
