Funeral services for Evie Lou Dearmon Turner, 77, of the Needham Community, will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. from Needham Assembly of God Church with Rev. Kevin Luker, Rev. Eric Wright and Rev. Jimmy Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro, Mississippi. Visitation will be held be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and again Thursday, July 3, 2025, one hour prior to the funeral service at Needham Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Turner passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025, in Needham, Alabama. Born on September 10, 1947, in Buckatunna, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Russell Dearman and Annie Lou Waller Dearman. Mrs. Evie worked as a Caregiver for Ms. Denise Riley for 18 years. She cherished the time spent with all her family and friends. Mrs. Evie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Ronald Turner of Needam Community; son, Darrin Turner (Ima Jean) of the Pleasant Hill Community; daughter, Tracie Harris of Lavaca, AL.; daughter, Amanda Lovette (Chad) of Needham, AL.; sister, Glenda Tatum (Glenn) of Waynesboro, MS.; brother, Russell "Buck" Dearman of Clara, MS.; brother, Tommy Dearman (Cheryl) of Pratville, AL.; sister, Marie Thrash of Meridian, MS.; sister, Darlene Winham (Stevie) of Franklin, TN.; sister, Debra Waite (Ronald) of Millry, AL.; five grandchildren, Alex Harris, Ethan Ray, Garhett Ray, Aidan Harris, Avie Lovette, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
She is preceded in death by her father, Russell Dearman; mother, Annie Lou Waller Dearman; father-in-law, Leonard Turner; mother-in-law, Christine Turner; Sister-in-laws, Bonnie Dearman, Alice Wright, Rebecca Booker.
Pallbearers include Alex Harris, Ethan Ray, Aidan Harris, Garhett Ray, Roger Shoemaker, and Eric Wright.
Honorary Pallbearers are her nephews.
