Mrs. Fannie Mae Williams Mills, affectionately known as "Tutter," was born on April 8, 1950, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to the late Mary Lucille Gillen Williams and Cudelles Williams. She accepted Christ at an early age under the spiritual guidance of Bishop John Henry Jennings, beginning a lifelong journey of faith that sustained and uplifted her through every season of life.
A graduate of Lincoln High School in Forrest City, Fannie Mae devoted over thirty years of service to the Harris family, earning a reputation for diligence, integrity, and unwavering pride in her work-whether cooking for loved ones, keeping a spotless home, or offering a helping hand to neighbors in need. A woman of quiet grace, she found joy in simple pleasures: assembling intricate puzzles, taking leisurely countryside drives, and gathering with family around home-cooked meals. Her gentle spirit and steady presence endeared her to all who knew her.
Fannie Mae passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Forrest City Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Archie Lee Williams Sr., John Ivory Williams, and Frank James Williams; and her sister, Pearlie Mae Williams. She leaves to cherish her memory six devoted children-Billy Joe Williams of Stockton, California; Sylvester Mills (Delores) of Forrest City, Arkansas; Diane Lee (Edward Sr.) of Stockton, California; Jimmy Mills and Luke Mills (Camille) of Forrest City, Arkansas; and Michael Lee Mills of Forrest City, Arkansas-along with six beloved grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, her sisters Ruby Nell Williams, Betty Jean Clark, and Dorothy Nell Gandy of Stockton, California, her brother Lee Herman Williams (Mattie) of Stockton, California, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Fannie Mae's legacy of devotion, humility, and quiet strength will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
