Faye Acaldo-Templet, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on July 11, 2025, in Gonzales, Louisiana.
Born in Gonzales, she spent her life rooted in the love of family and the joy of caring for others. Faye was a devoted mother to her three children, Randy Templet, Jamie Templet, and Amber O’Brien. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Dustin Templet, Dylan Templet, Blaine Dearmond, Kristian Maisonneuve, Jaiden Maisonneuve, Dameion O’Brien, and Destanie O’Brien.
Faye is survived by her siblings Peggy Ficklin, Barbra Boe, Mary Pearl, Ronald Acaldo, Steve Acaldo, Charles Acaldo, Michael Acaldo, Gerald Acaldo, and Vernon Acaldo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jenette and Vernon Acaldo, and her brother David Acaldo.
Visitation will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church on Wednesday July 16th from 9AM-11AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Procession immediately following for burial at Cornerview Cemetery.
Faye will be remembered for her warm heart, her strength as a kind mother, and her incredible skills in the kitchen. She had a way of making everyone feel at home, and her cooking was legendary among her family and friends. Her laughter, her love, and her presence will be deeply missed.
