Fern Pilgrim Obituary

Graveside service for Fern Alice Pilgrim will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
Fern Alice Pilgrim was born on October 18, 1929, in Mountain View, OK to Joseph and Macie Christian. Fern passed away on April 28, 2024, in Norman, OK, at the age of 94.
Fern grew up in Mountain View, OK. She then moved to Cordell. Fern was married to J.C. Vaughn and had two daughters, Janice Ann Senn and Phyllis Joy Brown. She raised her girls around the Carnegie area then moved to Chickasha, OK. She married Johnny Pilgrim in the 1970s and they lived in Alex, OK until his passing. Fern moved to Chickasha and lived there for the rest of her life. Fern loved reading, cooking, and baking for her family. She loved her dog, Samantha, a white Chow. Samantha was her most loyal companion in her final years. Fern was very loving to her family and they meant the world to her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Pilgrim, parents, Joseph and Macie Christian; her siblings, Joe Christian, Kenneth Christian, Sue Martinez, and James Christian; her son-in-law, Ronnie Senn.
Fern is survived by her daughters, Janice Ann Senn and Phyllis Joy Brown and husband Daniel Brown; her grandchildren, James Moore, Elip L. Moore (her favorite), Gerald Brown, Malinda Crawford, and Kristie Davis; seven great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
