Filippo Nicolosi, a devoted family man and respected member of his community, unexpectedly passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on March 28, 1943, in the picturesque town of Alia in Palermo, Italy, Filippo's journey led him to America in search of a better life, a dream he fulfilled with unwavering determination and a heart full of hope.

Filippo's legacy is carried on by his beloved wife, Anna, who was the cornerstone of his life. Together, they built a family that included their sons Pietro, married to Beth, and Paolo, as well as his brothers Vito, with his wife Grace, Franco and his wife Giuseppina, Vincenzo, and Giuseppe with his wife Maria. Filippo's joy was multiplied with the arrival of his grandchildren, Michael, Rocco, and Mary Anna, who will remember their grandfather with immense love and admiration.

A proud veteran of the Italian Army, Filippo's discipline and strength were evident in all his endeavors. Upon arriving in America, he established himself as a skilled contractor, dedicating over 40 years to building homes and crafting a legacy of hard work and integrity. He was not just building houses; he was creating homes for countless families, a testament to his deep understanding of the importance of shelter and comfort.

Filippo's life was marked by his unwavering devotion to his family. He was a selfless and loving man, whose passion for life was contagious. His loyalty to his favorite sports teams, the Rangers and the Mets, was as steadfast as his love for his Italian heritage. Filippo's pride in his roots was evident in his active membership at St. John the Evangelist Church, where he found spiritual solace and community.

His passion extended to his garden, a place where he found peace and joy in the simple act of nurturing plants and flowers. The garden was an extension of Filippo's nurturing nature, a physical representation of the care he gave to everything and everyone in his life.

Filippo Nicolosi will be remembered as a passionate soul who lived his life for others. His selflessness and love created a warm and inviting atmosphere wherever he went. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

As we bid farewell to Filippo, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, one that was filled with joy, hard work, and an abundance of love. His spirit will forever be a guiding light for his family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know this remarkable man. Rest in peace, Filippo Nicolosi, your memory will be cherished eternally.
