Helen Dale, 93, a resident of St. Benedict's Village (Independent Living), Monticello, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at CentraCare Hospital in Monticello.
She was born on September 24, 1931, to Lloyd and Hazel (Josephson) Geyen in Maple Lake, MN. She attended a country school in that area and graduated from North High School in Minneapolis.
On March 28, 1951, she was united in marriage with James Dale. They lived in Brooklyn Center for many years, raising their family. They enjoyed traveling, and after Helen retired from Honeywell, they became snowbirds, spending time between Mission, TX, and Clear Lake, MN, for over 20 years.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Cards, golf, traveling, and crafts were a few of her favorite activities.
Preceding her in death were her husband, James; daughter, Stephanie Kaminski; sister, Elizabeth (Arlis) Hill; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and her parents.
Survivors include her four children: • Deb Haines (Roy) Brandenburg of Ft. Myers, FL • Diane (Doug) Bellmore of Melrose • Mike (Heather Bisson) Dale of Breezy Point • Sue (Tom) Behm of Bradenton, FL
She is also survived by 16 grandchildren: Shawn (Lisa) Haines, Shad Haines, Danielle (Brent) Terhaar, Don (Melissa) Ternus, Amy Ternus, Jacob (Ericka) Kaminski, Corinne (Jason) Luther, Rachel (Mick) Maciej, Sarah Kaminski, James (Jessica) Dale, Alicia (Drew) Archibeque, Emily (Matt) Leshovsky, Cayden Bisson-Dale, Matthew Bisson-Dale, Kirsten Nord and Zachary Nord.
She had 21 great-grandchildren: Gabby Haines, Bryce Haines, Kayla Terhaar, Joseph Terhaar, Anna (Kevin) Chapple, Alyssa Tucker, Benjamin Schefers, Samantha Schefers, Brenden Nguyen, Shaylin Nguyen, Anthony Kaminski, Sophia Kaminski, Mason Luther, Myla Luther, Chloe Pearson, Emma Pearson, Mia Dale, Axel Dale, Evelyn Leshovsky, Olivia Leshovsky, and Henry Archibeque.
She was also blessed with one great-great-grandson, Charles Chapple.
A Prayer Service for Helen will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM, at Saint Henry Catholic Church, 1001 E 7th Street, Monticello.
Private family interment at St. Marcus Cemetery, Clear Lake, MN.
