Mother Flora Amos Ford was born on June 21, 1954 in Dade City, Florida, to the late Superintendent Homer Amos Sr. and Mother Florence Amos. She was raised in Zephyrhills, Florida where she received her education all the way until Graduating from Zephyrhills High School. Mother Ford met and married the love of her life, Alonzo T. Griffin and in 1985 welcomed their beautiful baby girl Carrie Ann Griffin . Mother Ford continued to share a blissful 22 years of marriage with Alonzo until God called him home. As the years moved on she later met and married Deacon Richard Allen Ford and spent 11 wonderful years with him until God called him home as well. She worked in the School Systems located in Hillsborough County and Marion County until she retired in 2015. Mother Ford had many hobbies from Serving in the church, the community , and most definitely her passion for sewing. Let's not forget her dedication to how much she truly loved her "Baby" as she would often call Carrie Ann, along with her beautiful grandbabies. She was a member of Gospel Temple COGIC , where she served under the leadership of her late father, Superintendent Homer Amos Sr, until God called him home. From there she became a dedicated member of Victorious COGIC under the leadership of Superintendent Alvin McKenzie. She leaves to mourn: her daughter, Carrie Ann Griffin -Zephir (Presmy); siblings, Homer Amos, Jr. (Voncelia), David Lee Amos; sisters, Magdeline Davis (Willie), and Carolyn Reed; uncle, Quincy Key Jr. (Odetha); aunt, Minnie Anderson; grandchildren, Satara Ford, Saderricka Dempsey, Zachari Zephir, Zahir Zephir, Zaiden Zephir, Zariyah Zephir; great grands, Sanaria Gunsby, Sergarion Gunsby, Kashton Ford and Jauhe'y Mchellion; great nieces/nephews, Aaliyah Castro, Jamia Hall, Semaj Hall, SemajAi Hall, Sheldon Davis Jr, Tralyn Davis, Nadiayshia Davis and Titus Davis; sisters in- law, Barbara Jean Dixon, Lula Mae Harrison (Joe), Sarah Mae Stevens (Calvin), Martha Bowers, Nadine Griffin and Brenda Griffin. Among her many other beloved relatives, nieces, nephews, family, cousins and friends. Flora shared an especially close bond with her two nieces, Mahogany (James) and Cheyanne, whom she affectionately called her favorites, they held a special place in her heart. Their love and devotion brought her great joy throughout her life.
