SMSGT. Retired Floyd Eugene "Gene" Carver passed away July 5, 2025, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born July 9, 1944, in St. Charles, Arkansas the son of Lee Oliver and Ida Mae Henderson Carver. Gene retired from the United States Air Force; he also was a former door greeter at the Walmart Store in Rogers. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. Gene was an avid coin collector, writing his family Biography, a true Republican and Donald Trump supporter. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judith Ann "Judy" Carver, his siblings Charles Henry Carver, Joseph DeWitt Carver, Millard Leon Carver, Nellie Mae Black, Elberta Sue Grishman, and one half-brother Thomas Lee Carver.
He is survived by his daughter Veronica Ann Thompson and husband Brad of Rogers; two grandchildren Jacob Michael Thompson all of Rogers, Liberty Nicole Thompson and companion Coin Jonathan "CJ" Patton, two great grandchildren Asher Alexander and Presley Brielle Patton all of Pea Ridge; his siblings John Wesley Carver, Mary Dixie Wood, William Amos Carver, Lauretta Ellen Christine, Lee Oliver Carver, Jr., one half brother Robert David Carver.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th Street, Rogers with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment with full military honors at 1:30 p.m. at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
