Obituary Floyvon Ladue Coby
Floyvon Ladue Coby, 90, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025 at his home in Pocatello, Idaho.
Floyvon was born January 23, 1935 in Fort Hall, Idaho, the son of Keno Jr. Coby and Ruth James Lewis.
He spent his lifetime in Fort Hall and attended schools there and in Blackfoot.
Floyvon married Phyllis Ute. To this union, Wayland Coby and LaGrand Coby were born. He married Shirley Boise. To this union, Garland Hidalgo and Claudina Coby were born. He married Trudi Lucero. To this union, Juan Lucero was born. He married Julia Harney.
On March 17, 2006, Floyvon and Renee Preacher were married in Pocatello, Idaho. The couple have a son, Stefan Coby.
He worked as a custodian and in maintenance at the Fort Hall Casino.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and 4 wheeling. He liked going to relays and rodeos and visiting with friends.
Floyvon is survived by his wife, Renee Coby of Pocatello ID; his children and grandchildren: Wayland Coby and his 9 children, LaGrand Coby and his 3 children and 7 grandchildren, Garland Hidalgo and one child, Claudina Coby and her 5 children and one grandchild, Juan Lucero and his 3 children and 5 grandchildren, and Stefan Coby and his 6 children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Keno Yambasi Coby Jr. and Ruth James Stone Coby; maternal grandparents Jeanette James Lewis and Johnny Tootsap Stone Jr.; paternal grandparents Keno Coby Peewar Sr. Oh hah; and all of his siblings.
Prayer services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot with a viewing prior to the service beginning at 5:00 p.m. He will be taken to his residence at 126 Batt Lane in Pocatello Thursday night after the service, where he will remain until burial. Traditional burial will be in the Cedars Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025.
