Francis "Frank" Eugene Dryer, 77, of Urbana, was born on March 29, 1948, in Urbana, to the late Robert "Bob" Dryer and Laura May (Fugate) Dryer. He passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Colonial Springs Healthcare Facility, in Buffalo, Missouri. Frank graduated from Skyline – Hickory County R-I school in 1966. On February 3, 1967, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Linda Lou Swanigan. To his union one son was born, Ronald Eugene Dryer who Frank called "Frank's Ronnie Boy". Frankie attended Molar Barber College in Kansas City, Missouri. He barbered at Fugate Barber Shop in Urbana for 13 years. Frank also worked for Bank of Urbana, later OakStar Bank as a security officer for 45 years. Frank loved people. He loved to explore the woods and creeks of Hickory and Dallas County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors in general. Frank loved the lord and felt closest to him when outside. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Laura May Dryer and one sister Sharon Kay Sharp. He is survived by his wife, Linda Dryer, son Ronnie Dryer and partner Charity Bancroft, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. He will be dearly missed. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 am on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Mission Ridge Cemetery near Urbana, Missouri with Ben Hodges officiating. Serving as pallbearers: Bill Vaughan, Robert "Cowboy: Schuetz, Bo Hodges, Jason Dickey, Matt Wilson, and Tim Edwards, honorary pallbearers will be J.R. Skinner, Scott Bailey, Jim Moore, Bobby Dryer, Ricky Dryer, Bobby Sharp, Alvin Dryer, Don Dryer, Bill Hodges, Sidney Swanigan, and Michael Swanigan. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Urbana, Missouri.
