In Loving Memory of Frances Alice Hurley August 1, 1939 – June 30, 2025
Frances Alice Hurley, 85, of Pocomoke City, Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, at Bay Harbor Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born on August 1, 1939, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Leroy and Alice Stark.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Clifton James Hurley, Jr. (Jimmy) and her cherished daughter, Jody Lynn Hurley. She is also survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Pusey and Martha Mears (Gene), as well as her sister-in-law, Linda Stark. She was a loving aunt to many special nieces and nephews and treasured by many friends.
Frances was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Robin Ann McCready; her sister, Shirley Tyndall; and her brothers, Leroy, Tommy, and John Stark.
Frances and Jimmy were married on September 28, 1956, and shared a beautiful life together. This year they would have celebrated 70 years of marriage. A dedicated homemaker, Frances enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, attending craft shows, creating scrapbooks and handmade greeting cards. Frances faithfully attended and supported Lynnhaven Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Pocomoke City.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Frances was a true blessing to everyone whose lives she touched and will remain forever in our hearts. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Lynnhaven Baptist Church, 1200 Lynn Haven Drive, Pocomoke City, Maryland 21851.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Frances to Lynnhaven Baptist Church.
