Frances Romano Leonardo (Fran) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 4, 2025 at the age of 96.
She was a devoted mother and loving wife to Santo for 60 years until his passing in 2008. They were inseparable. Wherever you saw one the other was not too far behind. A true love story.
She is survived by her son, Stephen and daughter-in-law Jignasha (Tina).
Fran was a very kind and caring person who was extremely generous and worried about everyone. She had a great love for her family.
Her passion for hairdressing lead her to own and operate a very successful salon called Act IV Hair Design in Congers and Tappan, New York for over 45 years.
She was also a great artist who loved to paint, as well as had a love for flowers and gardening which she took so much pride in.
She loved music and dancing. And throwing pool parties in her backyard. She enjoyed making everyone happy.
Christmas was one of her favorite holidays; the decorations, the tree, the gifts, the food - it was endless, and she loved every minute of it.
She was a no-nonsense person who told it like it was, but would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. SHE WAS ONE OF A KIND and she will always remain in our hearts. We cherish every moment we got to spend with her.
To know her was to love her. She touched so many of us in one way or another. We are so grateful to have had her in our lives. And we are grateful for the love you had for her.
May she rest in eternal peace. We will miss her dearly
