Mrs. Frances Bailey Monette, 85, of Walterboro, entered into rest Saturday morning, June 28, 2025, at her granddaughter's residence. She was the wife of the late Mr. Andre Monette.
Born May 25, 1940, in Ridgeland, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Elsie Daring. She was a devoted homemaker who centered her life around her loving family being known to everyone as "Mama". She will be remembered as an excellent cook who always had something prepared for anyone who visited.
Surviving are: three children, Louise Player, Kevin Bailey, and Ray Bailey; a sister, Alma D. Haley; and a brother, Roy Daring; as well as a large host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Lynn Ricker and Rena Smoak; and a granddaughter, Michelle Poston.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock Thursday morning, July 3, 2025, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
