Mrs. Frances Annita Sanders, who was 101 years old, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at her home. Frances was born on February 13, 1924, in Cherry Valley, Arkansas, to her late parents, Archie Thomas and Carrie Etta Moore. She was an energetic pastor's wife, a skilled homemaker who loved reading and cooking. She was an outstanding seamstress known for creating many beautiful razorback quilts. Frances was a member of Vanndale Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons: Woodie Sanders and his wife Ruth of Wynne, Kenneth Sanders and his wife Sissy of Fordyce, and Lawrence Sanders of Neosho, Missouri. Her daughters include Opal Smith and her husband Charles of Redbanks, Mississippi, and Carolyn Konzak of Vanndale. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodie Sanders; her daughter, Yvonne Matlock; her daughter-in-law, Vicki Sanders; her son-in-law, Andy Konzak; her brother, Claude Thomas; son-in-law, James Matlock, and her parents, Archie Thomas and Carrie Etta Gray. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Kernodle Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with burial taking place at Vanndale Cemetery.
