Frances Eve Welch passed away after a long health battle on June 28, 2025 at her home in Carolina Shores, NC at the age of 81.
Eve was raised in Oak Ridge, TN and raised her daughter only a few houses down from her childhood home. Eve retired from the City of Oak Ridge School system where she was the maintenance secretary for over 30 years. It was here she taught her grandson how to type on a typewriter and helped him with his homework. Memories the family will always speak fondly of.
Eve is preceded in death by her parents, David Foote and Lucy Foote. She is survived by her loving daughter Mary "Renee" (Stuart) Stanton, grandson and apple of her eye, Brandon (Amanda) Stanton, granddaughter Ashley (Bryan) Walker and 3 great grandsons Bryson, Samuel, and Logan. As well as a host of friends, neighbors, and extended family who miss her dearly.
Eve's family will host a small, graveside service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in her hometown of Oak Ridge, TN on Wednesday July 9th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. followed by lunch at Shoney's in Oak Ridge.
