Francis DeLaine Adams passed away at home on January 30, 2026, at the age of 90. Francis was born on March 30, 1935, in Lehi Utah to John Quincy Adams and Bertha Elthera Brems Adams. He was raised in Alpine Utah. Francis married Vera Beryl Landrum on October 15, 1957. They resided in Utah until moving to Lander Wyoming so Francis could work at U.S. Steel where he worked for over 20 years retiring when the mine closed. They raised five children together.

Francis served in the Army national guard and was very proud that he was part of the 19th Special Forces group Airborne out of Utah. Through the years he served on Lander Rural fire department as well as a Hunters Education Instructor. Francis loved hunting, fishing, gold panning and mostly anything that would take him up into the mountains. He was always up for an adventure and would often take long drives to various places in Wyoming just to explore or to visit a friend or family. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he had many callings.

Francis is survived by his children Bill (Alice) of Colorado, Tammie (Roger) Whitman of Minnesota, John (Wendy) of Nebraska and Michael (Jenifer) of Wyoming. His 14 grandchildren, James, Jeremy, Isaac, Ethan, Elizabeth, Laura, Jennifer, Joshua, Jeffrey, Jordan, Nathaniel, Christopher, Eliana and Trisha as well as eighteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sisters, Jane and Cleora and brother John.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Vera, his parents, John and Bertha, his daughter, Suzanne Adams Knight, brother David Adams and sister LuDene Adams Newman.

At Francis request funeral services will be held in Alpine Utah later this spring. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the Lander American legion Don Stough Post 33.
