Frank Frederick, 88, of Ingleside, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025.
Born in Chicago to Anthony and Anna, Frank faced early challenges when his father's passing required him to begin working at a young age to support his family. This instilled in him a lifelong dedication to hard work and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. Frank's diverse career included serving the Chicago CTA, working for EKO, and many years as a long-haul truck driver crisscrossing the country. He even shared his final professional journey with his son as a driving team for Koch Industries. Beyond his industrious spirit, Frank was a true "jack of all trades"-he built furniture for his children, was a talented mechanic, and could fix anything around the house. Frank will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Frank is survived by his children Sandra Torgersen, Sheryl (Daniel) Sullivan, Anthony (Lori) Frederick, Mark (the late Rita) Frederick, and Linda Frost; his grandchildren Elisabeth, Daniel, Nicholas, Dana, David, Ryan, Christopher, Darien, Amanda, Alyssa; and 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers Victor and James Sarola.
Visitation for Frank will held from 10:00 – 11:30 AM on Saturday June 21st at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville, IL with a service starting at 11:30. Interment to follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Funeral info (847) 362-2626
