Frank Michael Grupico April 28, 1946 – June 29, 2025 Frank M. Grupico was born on April 28, 1946, in San Francisco, California, the beloved only child of Margaret J. Lonetta and Frank J. Grupico. A proud second-generation Italian American, Frank's early years were filled with his mother's delicious home-cooked meals, a relentless love of sports, and a dedicated paper route-early signs of the hard-working and passionate man he would become. Sports were a central theme throughout Frank's life. Before he could walk, his father placed a ball and bat in his tiny hands, beginning a lifelong love affair with baseball. His heart belonged first to the New York Yankees, and then to the San Francisco Giants, whose games he faithfully attended for decades with his family. With season tickets to both the Giants and the 49ers, weekends at Candlestick Park became cherished family traditions. Frank also had a deep love for tennis, which he not only played from a young age but continued to enjoy in corporate charity events throughout his career. Frank graduated from the University of San Francisco with a degree in Accounting and Finance. His professional journey began at Standard Oil of California-where fate introduced him to the love of his life, Victoria S. Grupico. They were married for 50 wonderful years and shared a deep, abiding bond. Together, they raised one daughter, Christina, whom Frank adored and proudly supported in every pursuit. After leaving Standard Oil in the late 1970s, Frank transitioned into banking and finance, where his skills as an auditor took him across California-navigating with just a map and an exceptional sense of direction. Over the years, he held positions as an auditor, Senior Loan Officer, and eventually Regional Vice President. His warmth, honesty, and sharp mind earned him the trust of clients, many of whom became lifelong friends. Frank and Victoria were gracious hosts, often organizing events that welcomed a who's-who of the sports world, including legends like Joe Montana, Dwight Clark, and Willie McCovey-connections that were especially meaningful to Frank given his love of sports. In the late 1980s, Frank embraced his entrepreneurial spirit and stepped away from corporate life to start a physical therapy practice. After moving to Texas to be nearer to his daughter and grandchildren, he served as co-founder and CFO of Living Well Senior Care for the past 11 years, where he combined his financial acumen with a heartfelt mission to serve others. Frank's love of sports was something he passed down to his daughter from the very start-placing a bat and ball in her hands before she could even walk. He never missed a single softball game or tennis match. That same joy continued with his grandsons, Marcellus and Domenic, whose own love of baseball delighted him. Frank and Victoria also enjoyed bowling together and spent many happy weekends in wine country and summers traveling the U.S., creating memories that spanned decades. Frank will be remembered as a man of his word-reliable, loyal, and loving. His sharp wit and signature sarcasm were always delivered with warmth and affection. He was a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, and steadfast friend. His absence will be deeply felt, but his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Victoria S. Grupico; his daughter, Christina A. Grupico (Lloyd Jackson Jr.); and his grandchildren, Marcellus and Domenic Jackson. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Genie Secapure, Josie Secapure, and Effie Harper (COL. Gary P. Harper, Ret.), and brothers-in-law Anthony Secapure Jr. and Lee Secapure. Memorial & Celebration of Life will be held on July 31st, 2025 at 1:30pm at Saint John Paul II Catholic Church • 909 McCormick St. Denton, TX 76201 Friends and family are invited to share in remembrance as we honor the life of an extraordinary man.
