On December 18, 2024, an incredible man moved on from this life while surrounded by his family; the thing he treasured most. Frank M. Russell II (76), was a devoted, amazing and cherished husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, uncle, friend, neighbor, lover of dogs, chef for his family, devoted fan of Ohio State football, Harley man, and trusted advisor to all those who knew him. Frank was a sensationally wise man with a wide range of experiences and skills who left a lasting impact on all those he encountered whether for a brief moment or lifetime. Frank grew up in Painesville, Ohio and spent much of his life in Ohio before moving to Schaumburg, Illinois. Frank started off working in corrections helping guide and support troubled youth, and then spent most of his professional career in sales working for Johnson & Johnson where he worked hard to support his family and help his colleagues grow. The only thing that made Frank happier than a day on his motorcycle, was a day with his family. Frank leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years (in June), Gay (McCallum) Russell, daughter, Blair (Russell) Knopp, son-in-law, Craig Knopp, his cherished granddaughter, Olivia Jeanne Knopp, brother, Gary Tucker, niece, Michelle Presock, as well as extensive family and friends. Frank would do anything to support those most precious to him when in need, and although Frank will be dearly missed by those who knew him, they are supported by all Frank taught us throughout his life and all the love he gave.
Per Frank’s wishes, there will be no services but his family will host a Celebration of Frank’s Life Saturday 12/21/24 in Chicago, Illinois. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations to the charity most important to you in Frank's honor.
