Hillsboro, Tennessee - Franklin Wayne Steele II, known as "Bubba" by all, age 56, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024, at his home in Hillsboro, TN.
Bubba was born in Winchester, TN on September 22, 1967, to Franklin Wayne and Sally Parent Steele who both preceded him in death. Bubba is survived by his brother, Brian Scott Steele, Hillsboro, and his sister Holly (Bryan) Partin of Chattanooga, TN.
After graduating from Coffee County Central High School, Bubba worked at Word Lumber in Manchester for years and later opened his auto repair business. Bubba was strong-willed and stubborn at times but also had an enormous heart and sense of humor. He was a generous, loyal, and caring person as proven by the many years he cared for his father and mother during their extended illnesses. He was a devoted family man.
He started riding motorcycles at a young age which later developed into an infatuation with fast cars and trucks. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved to collect Dale Earnhart memorabilia. He would relax at home watching auto racing, old westerns, and Tennessee football.
Bubba lived a simple life and never ventured far from home. He wanted to be remembered at a small gathering of family and friends, a Celebration of Life will be announced for a later date.
