Fred Carlson Obituary

Fredrick George Carlson, born March 13, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully. He was 92 years old. Fred was the beloved son of the late Fredrick G. Carlson and the late Leone Cummings. He graduated high school in Chicago, IL and then joined the Army. Throughout his life, Fred demonstrated unwavering strength, courage, resilience and received several medals. While serving he received several medals. He then moved to Waukegan, IL and started working and retired from National Press. He was a member of the American Legion in Gurnee, IL. He enjoyed collecting coins, stamps and spending time with his sister Joanie and his nephews. He was known as Uncle Fred to all.
He survived by his sister, Joan, nephews Tim, Chuck and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, son, and nephews Rick and Scott.
He will be laid to rest on Wednesday July 23rd in a private military service.
