Fred A. Trujillo, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, in Sheridan, Colorado, at the age of 80. Born on November 29, 1944, in La Loma Parda, New Mexico, Fred lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community.
Fred's life was defined by his commitment to family, his career, and his faith. He cherished his family above all else and was most proud of the bonds he shared with them. Married to his loving wife, Bobbi Trujillo for 53 years, Fred was also the proud father of Rudy and Alfredo Trujillo, who will forever hold his memory close.
For 42 years, Fred dedicated his working life to Kent Denver School, where he served as the Maintenance, Custodial, and Head Groundskeeper. He took immense pride in maintaining the beauty of the campus, and his passion for gardening was evident in every corner of the grounds. Known for his green thumb, Fred could nurture any plant back to life, and his garden was a testament to his love for nature.
Fred was a fixture in his community, always ready to lend a hand to neighbors, friends, and family. Though not formally involved with any group, he was known as the go-to guy for any problem. His grandchildren affectionately called him "emergency grandpa" because he could fix just about anything.
Fred was a man of warmth and humor, always ready with a joke and a smile. He had an innate ability to connect with people and seemed to know everyone. His presence was a source of comfort and joy, and his kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Fred is survived by his wife, Bobbi Trujillo, his sons Rudy and Alfredo Trujillo, and his siblings Floyd, Ray, and Paul Trujillo, as well as his sisters Lisa Lambert, Ann Read, and Ceci Wright. He was predeceased by his parents, Andres and Carmen Trujillo, and his brother, Sam Trujillo.
As we await the details of his funeral service, we remember Fred for the incredible man he was. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us.
We love Fred more than anything, and his memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
