Fred Waite Jr. passed away peacefully leaving behind a legacy of joy and resilience that touched the lives of many. Known for his infectious spirit, Fred had a unique way of connecting with those around him, often pointing to the sky and responding "to the moon" with a cheerful *click, click* snap of his tongue. This playful interaction symbolized his optimistic outlook on life and his ability to find joy in simple moments.
Fred was a vibrant personality who found happiness in everyday activities. He loved spending his days watching classic television shows like "Bob the Builder" and "The Price is Right," particularly enjoying the episodes hosted by Bob Barker. His enthusiasm for these programs reflected his childlike wonder and appreciation for entertainment that brought smiles to his face.
One of Fred's greatest joys was taking long car rides, where he would listen to music and engage in his signature 'click and point' routine. These drives were filled with laughter and camaraderie, with stops only made at Dunkin' Donuts for coffee or whenever he spotted a construction truck, his absolute favorite – which he would insist on observing for as long as possible.
Fred resided at Citizen Advocates Church Street IRA, where he formed deep friendships with fellow residents. His warm heart and caring nature made him a beloved member of the community. Those who knew him often remarked on how Fred embodied the spirit of a fighter; he faced life's challenges head-on with courage and determination.
He is survived by his loving Aunt Nancy Colella, who cherished their bond deeply. Fred was predeceased by his father, Fred Waite Senior, whose memory lived on through Fred's stories and experiences.
In closing, we remember Fred Waite Jr. not just for obstacles he faced and overcame, but for the light he brought into our lives. As we say goodbye, let us honor him with his own words: To the moon! *click, click*
