Harriet Gail Sawyer was born June 28, 1951, in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Norman & Sybil Wilson Sawyer. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1969, and attended Georgia Southern University. Gail worked at Gilbert H. Gragg Library and with Decatur County Schools in adult education and at West Bainbridge Middle School. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Gail was a caretaker at heart. She spent years caring for her parents and following her grandchildren to every event they participated in. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed planning meals nearly as much as the preparation. Traveling with Jody, especially to the beach, provided many fond memories. Listening to music and watching Hallmark & Lifetime movies filled her days. Nothing was better than "Christmas in July" movies for Gail. Survivors include her children, Jennifer & Charles Hall of Bainbridge, Paul Trolinger of Texas, Kevin Trolinger of Valdosta, and Patrick & Shauna Trolinger of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Sawyer & Connar, Matt & Sabryna, Will, Cole & Tatum, Alexis & Stevens, Brayden, and Maura; her great-grandchildren, Kash and Eliana; and a host of extended family. In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Jody Trolinger; her son, Joey Whittington; and her sister, Norma Gambrell.
