Garland Wayne Shattuck, 68, of Rusk, passed through Heavens Gate on Saturday evening, July 5, 2025. A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Tuesday morning, July 15, 2025, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville, to begin at 10:00am. Bro. Sherman Mayfield will officiate the service. Interment will be at Sardis Edgefield Cemetery.
Garland was born in Houston, Texas, on November 27, 1956, to parents Joe Shattuck and Myrtle Duggan. Garland was proud to have served his country as a Marine. Garland worked for the the Rusk State Hospital as a laundry attendant. Garland loved his family - and he will be missed by all.
Garland was preceded by his Father, Joe Thomas Shattuck, Mother, Myrtle Shattuck, and Sister, JoBeth Shattuck.
Garland is survived by his Sister, Linda M. Clements (Keith), Brother, John Thomas Shattuck, and Niece, Charlette Clements.
