GARY LINCOLN KEOKI NEIZMAN 1966-2025
The world became a little less bright on June 12, 2025, with the passing of Gary Lincoln Keoki Neizman, 59, of Honolulu, Hawaii. He was born on February 12, 1966 in Wailuku, Maui, and is predeceased in death by parents, Benjamin H. "Dutchy" "Sonny" Neizman and Gladys Wailani Abihai Neizman, and oldest sister Tracie K. Abihai. Gary was the epitome of hard work, dedication, and family man.
Gary grew up in Happy Valley and graduated from Baldwin High School, class of 1984. He loved baseball, tennis, basketball and going to the beach. He took immense pride in raising and spending quality time with his children. Everywhere he went, they followed. He was serious when he had to be and there never seemed to be enough hours in a day for him to accomplish all that he wanted. His sense of humor was one for the books, the kind that gave you full body, belly laughs. He laughed, cried, and laughed even more. His smile was infectious. He loved food. He loved how food brought people together. Some of his fondest memories centered around sharing his favorite foods, with the ones he loved. Kanaka pancake, Hamburger & Cabbage with ketchup all over, Miso Soup with extra eggs, Takamiya Teriyaki and Mac Salad, and he always made sure the rice pot was full. Gary loved country music. He loved animals. He was proud to be Hawaiian. He loved to ride the bus and holoholo.
Gary worked at Maui Seaside Hotel for over 15 years and relocated to Oahu, where he worked for Foodland Warehouse for the last 10 years. Every person he met, made an impact on his life.
Despite numerous challenges, Gary never wavered in his love for his family or his commitment to living life fully. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, and married for 39 years to Lolita M. Mendija-Neizman. Above all, Gary's most cherished role was being a proud, and loving Dad to his three children, Michael-Jeremy K. (Rolandrea) Neizman, Brandon-Jaymie K. (Edaline) Mendija-Neizman, and Liane T.K. (Matthew) Mendija-Neizman Jimenez. Gary was honored to be a Papa to 10 beautiful grandchildren. He also leaves behind his loving sisters Geraldine Uilani Neizman and Donnamarie (Alan) Fernandez; as well as many nieces/nephews.
Private Celebration of Life will be held on Maui. Gary's stories, laughter, and bear hugs will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. In honor of Gary's life, the family asks that you share a moment of kindness with someone in need.
