Gary L. McConnell, of Brookline, MO, passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side on July 16, 2025, after a brief illness. Gary was 79 years old. He was born on December 07, 1945, in Republic, MO, to Harry and JoAnn (Duvall) McConnell.
He graduated from Republic High School in 1963. Gary was blessed with two children, Gina and Travis. When he married Linda on April 05, 1986, she brought a son, Logan, whom Gary adopted and raised as his own. Gary began his working career with Gospel Publishing House in Springfield, working in the printing department and as a book binder. He then went on to work in the sales and distribution department for Coors for seventeen years, followed by another 21 years at Budweiser. Gary had a quirky sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time on the farm tending cattle, and also with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and JoAnn, and son, Logan McConnell.
Gary is survived by his loving wife Linda, children Gina DeHaven and husband Gary and Travis McConnell, grandchildren Aiden Hedenberg and Ava McConnell, as well as other extended family and friends.
A Visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 21, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. also, at Meadors. Gary will be laid to rest in Lindsey Cemetery in Republic, following his funeral services.
