Gayle Patterson Davis, beloved sister, aunt and friend passed away on July 22, 2025. She was born June 30,1953. Her parents were Mack and Mary Peterson Patterson.
She grew up in Beaver and graduated from Beaver High School and then went to Dixie College. She lived in Georgia, Colorado, then back to Utah eventually settling in her hometown.
She worked at many jobs. She was a medical receptionist and worked for a state health department and then as a phlebotomist.
Gayle loved to golf and her claim to fame was that she named the Canyon Breeze Golf Course after having submitted the name in a contest. She enjoyed so much being on the course with her friends and working there also.
She loved dogs and had many faithful canine companions. Her latest was Olive. They were her babies and family.
She loved playing the piano and was happy using her skill to serve her church and community.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a testimony of the Savior. She served in many callings using her piano and organ skills. She especially enjoyed her time playing the organ in the Cedar City Temple. She loved family history and spent time researching and finding ancestors.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews and their families, a sister-in-law and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Mary Patterson; brother, Gary Patterson; and son, Dan Hansen.
We want to thank those who helped care for Gayle during the final weeks of her life. Gayle will be missed by family and friends. We are comforted in the knowledge she is at peace.
A graveside service will be held on Friday August 1, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver Utah. Final arrangements are under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. To share online condolences, please visit www.mortuary.org.
