Genelle Mahan, 95, of Gainesville, MO passed away June 22, 2025 at Gainesville Healthcare Center. She was born March 3, 1930 in Oakland, AR to Ben and Lena (Deatherage) Quick.
On March 26, 1949, Genelle was united in marriage to Eldon Mahan in Mtn Home, AR. Eldon was the love of her life, and they spent a wonderful 70 years together until his passing in 2019. Genelle worked for many years as a beautician in Gainesville. She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her faith was undeniable, and she loved her First Baptist Church family in Gainesville. Genelle loved going on walks, and later in life she enjoyed her word search puzzles. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by one daughter, Julia Naylor of Mtn Home, AR; two grandchildren, Chad Naylor and wife Alicia of Nixa, MO and Erica Pleasant and husband Chase of Salem, AR; five great grandchildren: Emma Naylor, Easton Naylor, Candence Pleasant, Ava Pleasant, and Nova Pleasant; five siblings: Norma Haney, Arthurlene Morrow, Elloise Fore, Garry Quick, and Carmen Quick; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Lena Quick; her husband, Eldon Mahan; and four siblings: Reba Smith, Bruce Quick, Ernestine Mahan, and Larry Quick.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Officiating will be Mike Dillin. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon from 1 p.m. to service time. Burial will be in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Lilly Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
