George W. Archibald, 101 of Elyria passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2025. He was a WWII US Army Veteran. George loved playing golf and did so up to two years ago. He had been a member of the Oberlin Golf Group for 38 years. George was an avid reader and a member of the Community of Christ Church.
He is survived by his children, Georgia Boulter (James Troy), Mark Archibald (Karen), and Laurie Archibald; grandchildren, Scott Werling, Matt Werling, Kristen Kolp, and Joshua Archibald; great grandsons, Brody and David; a sister, Carol Bogart; and many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 72, years Gladys; a son, Geoffry Archibald; and a sister, Arlene New.
A private graveside service with military honors will be held.
Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel is honored to be assisting the family.
