George Cowan Lasley, 90, of Lebanon, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 28, 2025. Born on August 27, 1934, in Lebanon, he was the son of Robert and Myrtle Lasley.

He was a member of Copper Ridge Baptist Church, where he loved singing in the choir. George graduated from Lebanon High School in 1953 and served in the Army from 1957 to 1959. He was employed at Lebanon Auto for 33 years. He then worked at Secor Inc. with the Lebanon Community Correction Center until he retired. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and bird watching on the back porch.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Rufus Lasley, Claude Lasley, Earl Lasley and Robert Lasley and sisters, Edith Hughes, Betty Robinson and Mary Hess.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Angela Lasley; daughters, Mary Ellen Johnson and husband Kevin and Crystal Mullins and husband Gary; stepsons, Bruce Frazier and wife Rita, Carlton Frazier; grandchildren, Alyssa Lasley, Harley Mullins and wife Hannah, Lucas Mullins, John Mark Mullins, Brittany Bailey and husband Chris, Lorin Winters and husband Scotty; great grandchildren, Gabriel Bailey and Emma Winters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in the Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Gary Mullins officiating. Entombment will follow at Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lebanon with military graveside rites conducted by the Lebanon VFW Post 9864.

Pallbearers will be Harley Mullins, Lucas Mullins, John Mark Mullins, Bruce Frazier, and Gary Mullins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
