Mr. George David Nugent, 81, of Walterboro, entered into rest Saturday morning, January 24, 2026, at the Colleton Hospital in Walterboro.
Born February 14, 1944, in New York, New York, he was a son of the late Fred Nugent and the late Bertha Blanc Nugent. He worked for most of his career as a mechanic and had owned his own repair shop over the years. He was of the Roman Catholic faith and will be remembered for his love of playing the stock market.
Surviving are: two children, Augie Nugent (Desiree) of New York, New York and Jessica M. Nugent (Carl) of Walterboro; a brother, Joe Nugent; two sisters, Christian N. Leary and Louise N. Johnson; a grandchild, Carter Lisbon; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Nugent and Johnny Nugent; two sisters, Audrey Murray and Ruthie Nugent; as well as his former wife, Jacqueline Hodgson.
Funeral services will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
