George Leslie Welch, age 78 of Hardy, AR, was born September 8, 1946, in Hickory Ridge, AR, and passed away August 2, 2025, at his home.
Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Linda; 9 children, Renee Orosz of Harviell, MO, Randy Welch (Valerie) of Doniphan, MO, Shelly Hunt (William) of Cherokee Village, AR, Chris Welch of Three Forks, MT, Jeannie Sisco of Hardy, AR, Jamie Gurley of Hardy, AR, Hayden Biby of Hardy, AR, River Biby of Hardy, AR, and Skyler Biby of Hardy, AR; 4 siblings, Diane McNair (Jim) of Eureka, IL, Brenda Dupree (Dan) of Hardy, AR, and Mary Holman (Danny) of Greenville, MS, Gerald Welch (Diane) Hardy, AR; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charlie and Juanita (Mullins) Welch; infant daughter, Carrie Welch.
George served in the Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran, who later became a rock mason and carpenter. He loved old cars as well as reading.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2pm Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the Baker Cemetery near Hardy, AR.
