Flora Kirby Obituary

Flora Kindred Kirby, age 85 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Flora was a woman of quiet strength, kindness, and grace. She devoted her life to her family and will be missed by her family and who knew her. She was an avid Alabama football fan.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lesa Hall; her stepdaughter, Lavonne Kirby Holland; and her stepson, Perry Kirby. She is also survived by her sister, Gladys Sparkman. A special mention to her step-grandson, Lance Marter; as well as a special mention to her sister-in-law, Billie Kirby. Flora's memory will live on in her two beloved grandchildren, Deanna Phillips and Joshua Anderson, as well as in the hearts of several cherished step-grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
Flora was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lucy Mitchell Kindred; her beloved husband, Kenneth Kirby; her step-daughter, Kathy Kirby Marter; and her brothers, James Kindred and John Kindred.
A graveside service celebrating Flora's life will be held at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
